Steven, Ricky and I got up early and rolled out to the Acura LA Bike Tour yesterday morning with some of the Steel Horsies. The Bike Tour consists of riding through the official LA Marathon route before the course opens to the runners. The traffic is blocked off by 3:00am and many cyclists rush the course and mash through it in the wee hours of the morning. We decided to start closer to the actual 5:00am start time and weave our way through 26 miles of kitted roadies, family tandems and hacks on mountain bikes who only ride once a year. It was a little stressful, but no one got hurt and we got our medals and McDonald’s breakfast. Solid 50 miles in before most of the population in LA was awake. Ziadie at the start.
