After 7 days in the blazing heat and relentless rain, we have successfully reached the city of Osaka. Yesterday was by far the most challenging of the entire tour, 65 miles in the mountains of Nara then a rain storm all the way into Osaka… All in all it was a painful but rewarding experience.

We were greeted at the finish line in triangle park with campaign from our friend Mayz and Andrew, a perfect way to end the tour. Now at long last, we get to relax and enjoy the environment around us. Tonight we get a celebration dinner, alleycat race, and VIP party. Perfect. More updates to come.

We made it out of Tokyo, thanks to the help from the good people at wbase and the homie Rip Zinger. Thanks guys. Three days and 150 miles later, we are here in Omaezaki, in the Japanese countryside. As we ride further, we’re are witnessing the most amazing places and people; such a heavy contrast to Tokyo. Our new friend Wada from Tokyo escorted us the first two days. Without his navigation and riding skills, I’m not sure we could’ve made it this far. Thanks Wada!

Everyday feels twice as long as a normal day as we snake through the blazing heat and tropical rain only to set up camp on the beach and maybe sleep a few hours before we get up and do it again. I think I speak for everyone when I say this is one of the most unique and amazing experiences we’ve ever had.

Internet access is rare on the road but we’ll try and update as much as possible.

That’s it, we’re out. John, Noah, and I are finished shooting in NY and have returned to our respective homes. NY was dope, memorable for sure. Thanks Drew Dog for putting us up, we owe you many. Props to all our New York homies, CJ, Mat, Rebel, Michelle, Sam, Halina, Mike, Caroline, V, Queen, Carlo and all the rest. Damon came for a vacation too so we got some good training rides in as well.

The PRESENT:

Just made it to LA, my home away from home. Looking forward to some training rides out here with Tom and the LA crew. Tomorrow I’m filming some races at the Encino velodrome. Starting to stack some footage here, this is good. I think I have footage of me racing from back in the day at Hellyer, gotta find that.

The FUTURE:

Now that I’m here, I’ll be interviewing and filming the LA team. Then off to SF and Hawaii for the rest of the crew. Stay tuned.

!ALSO! Check out what this guy Joerg is doing. He’s riding his fixed gear from cologne to london, starting on june, 5th! Looks dope. Check out his blog.
Noah brought his digital camera so we figured we do a little shooting. Our good friend and director of photography John Murillo shot some video clips and we uploaded a quick little piece here:
In other news, our friends over at Fluid have joined the project by becoming another one of our sponsors. Fluid is an ill recovery drink. The theory is, when you work out and get lasting fatigue, this drink helps you recover faster by repairing your muscle thus increasing your performance. We have 5 back to back days of riding the 350 miles from Tokyo to Osaka and I’m looking forward to using this stuff. Thanks Fluid.

The tour is rapidly approaching so training rides have been increasing for all of us. Unlike the LA team however, we here on the east coast haven’t had any casualties. I road this route with the new homies Michelle and Mat. We headed out from Manhattan and ended up in ‘Long Beach’, (it’s a part of long island). 75 mile round trip. Feeling great. Some flicks…
